Liming is an assistant professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine with the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and an investigator with CHOP’s Center for Mitochondrial and Epigenomic Medicine where he studies the role of metabolism in human disease at the molecular, genomic, cellular and organismal levels. His current research is in the areas of cardiac endocrinology, mitochondrial function, and metabolic disease. The Pei Lab focuses on understanding how different organs react to energy cues and communicate with each other to maintain whole-organism homeostasis in both physiological and pathological contexts. Liming received his undergraduate degree from the University of Science and Technology of China and his PhD from UCLA.
