Frank is an RIA Programmer in Rich Tsui’s informatics lab. He is specialized in solving challenges associated with real-time data acquisition and signal processing. His work has led to a working program for the high-speed data stream emitted from GE bedside monitors, a real-time data acquisition program for public twitter streams, and a HIPAA-compliant smart mobile-server messaging system. He also has worked on optimization of frameworks for multi-source datasets, enabling analytics on infant mortality prediction. Frank holds a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from Pitt and a Bachelor’s in Automation with a minor in Artificial Intelligence from Central South University in China. He won the Intel-Cornell Cup in 2014 for his work on the KoalaKollar.
