Jeremy Leipzig, MS
Senior Data Integration Analyst
Jeremy joined DBHi's genome analysis and bioinformatics group in 2010 from his prior role as a senior research associate in DuPont's crop genetics program. He has worked as a bioinformatics software developer in both academic and industry settings since 2004, researching such diverse topics as viral integration, schizophrenia, metagenomics, miRNA target prediction, de novo short read assembly, and alternative splicing. He is a leader in the online bioinformatics programming community and teaches session for Cold Spring Harbor's “Programming for Biology” course. He holds a master's in computer science from North Carolina State University and has co-authored an O'Reilly tutorial on the exploration of public data using R.
