Michael Xie, PhD
Michael joined DBHi's genome analysis and bioinformatics group in 2007 after receiving his PhD in computer science from Temple University. His range of expertise includes such varied disciplines as statistics, data mining, machine learning, image analysis, scripting, and website design. Michael aids researchers in the analysis of data from expression microarrays, proteomics platforms, and biological sequences. He provides support for gene function and pathway analysis, pattern recognition, biomarker discovery, and text mining. Michael also holds a master of Chemistry from Washington University in St. Louis., and Ph.D. in computer science from Temple University.
