As CHOP’s Associate Chief Health Informatics Officer Eric Shelov focuses on optimizing the Electronic Health Record (EHR), developing Clinical Decision Support for Quality Improvement initiatives and promoting EHR development that is in-line with emerging best practices. Within DBHi, he is a faculty member in the Clinical Informatics fellowship program. He is also the Medical Director for the Inpatient Electronic Health Record. Eric is a Pediatric Hospitalist and dedicates his time to both teaching and non-teaching services. He received his BA from Yale University, MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his Masters in in Biomedical Informatics from Oregon Health and Science University in 2016. Eric completed his residency at CHOP in 2009 and is board certified in pediatrics and clinical informatics.
