Eric Shelov, MD
Associate Chief Medical Information Officer
As CHOP’s Associate CMIO Eric Shelov focuses on optimizing the Electronic Health Record (EHR), developing Clinical Decision Support for Quality Improvement initiatives and promoting EHR development that is in-line with emerging best practices. He is also is the Medical Director for the Inpatient Electronic Health Record. Eric is a Pediatric Hospitalist and dedicates his time to both teaching and nonteaching services. He received his BA from Yale University, MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and is completing his Masters in in Biomedical Informatics from Oregon Health and Science University in 2016. Eric completed his residency at CHOP in 2009 and is board certified in pediatrics and clinical informatics.
