Zalman Vaksman, PhD
Zalman received his Bachelor’s degree at Seton Hall University and his Masters in at University of Minnesota in behavioral neuroscience. He then went into industry ultimately becoming the Sr. Scientist in the pharmacology group at Johnson Space Center in Houston. After a few years he returned to school culminating in 2014 with a PhD from the Department of Genomics, Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (GBCB) at Virginia Polytechnic Institute (Virginia Tech). Zalman’s research projects are focused on the analysis of genome variation in cancer.
