Jeremy Michel, MD
Jeremy joined CHOP in 2013 after completing a NLM Informatics Fellowship at Yale University and attaining a Master of Health Sciences in Clinical Informatics from the Yale School of Medicine. This marked a return to Philadelphia for him, as he received his MD from Drexel University and completed his residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital/A.I. duPont Hospital for Children. He practices medicine at the Karabots Care Center in West Philadelphia and his experiences there inspire his informatics work. Jeremy is is board certified in clinical informatics. and his current informatics focuses are on translating evidence-based care recommendations into clinical decision support using a transparent and reproducible methodology. He is involved with the Healthy Weights Initiative at CHOP, which is looking to promote evidence-based weight management practices by primary care physicians. He also consults on the National Guideline Clearinghouse and the National Quality Measure Clearinghouse. Jeremy also holds a BA in biology from Cornell University.
