Pichai Raman, MS
Pichai joined DBHi's Genome Analysis group in February 2013 after working for 7 years as a computational biologist at the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research (NIBR). At NIBR, he worked as part of a multi-faceted team, collaborating with investigators from various disease areas on target/biomarker discovery, compound mechanism of action, and predictive gene expression signatures. In addition he worked with informatics specialists to build computational pipelines and data mining frameworks to process and analyze high volumes of genetic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data. At CHOP, he is serving a similar role, assisting teams and researchers to determine markers/pathways involved in disease to aid in patient stratification and personalized medicine. Pichai holds a master's degree in biophysics from The Ohio State University and a bachelor's degree in cell & molecular biology from the University of Michigan.
