Aaron Masino, PhD
Supervisor, Research Data Science
Dr. Masino joined the Department of Biomedical and Health Informatics (DBHi) at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in 2011. His research interests lie at the intersection of mathematical modeling, machine learning, and translational research. His work at DBHi includes development of an automated phenotype based gene prioritization algorithm and creation of an electronic honest broker system that enables longitudinal bio-specimen and case report data collection and secure protected health information. Previously, Dr. Masino served as a senior scientist at MZA Associates Corporation where he developed advanced optics control algorithms and simulations. He received his PhD in applied mathematics from the University of Central Florida. He also holds a master's in aerospace engineering from the University of Colorado and a bachelor's in mathematics from Rutgers University.
