The Department of Biomedical Informatics (DBHi) is pleased to announce that our Clinical Informatics Fellowship program has received continued accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), currently one of three programs in the nation to receive such a designation. ACGME’s Residency Review Committee for Pediatrics commended the program for its demonstrated substantial compliance with the ACGME's Program Requirements and/or Institutional Requirements.

The clinical informatics fellowship program is a two-year program, which includes both didactic and rotational training. Upon successful completion of the program, the fellows are prepared for certification in the clinical informatics subspecialty and equipped to be a practicing informatician, leader, and innovator in academic, healthcare, and industry settings.

The CHOP fellowship is one of only four clinical informatics fellowships focused on pediatrics. Two fellowship positions are awarded each year. Currently, there are four Clinical Informatics Fellows at CHOP with two additional fellows joining the program in July 2017.
